Looking for a special place to treat your mum on Mother’s Day? Polgoon is just a 20 minute drive from beautiful St Ives, home to one of our favourite places, The Porthminster Beach Café.

Nestled beneath the steep slopes of Porthminster Point and positioned right on the beach, The Porthminster Beach Café has unbeatable and uninterrupted views across St Ives Bay and out to the famous Godrevy Lighthouse – said to have inspired Virginia Woolf’s novel, To The Lighthouse.  On a sunny day it feels like paradise – palm trees, white sand, turquoise water – you might even spot some dolphins swimming out in the bay!

The Porthminster Beach Café is a multi award-winning seafood restaurant. The space is light and airy, relaxed and friendly and makes the most of the spectacular views.  Specialising in fresh, Cornish seafood cuisine with Mediterranean/Asian influences, each dish is a wonderfully presented oasis of taste and beauty.  Many of the dishes pair well with our Polgoon wines, perhaps choose a bottle of our zesty Art Bacchus or our Madeleine Angevine with hints of pear.  Or, as a special treat, you could try a glass of our Sparkling Pinot Noir Rosé, described on the wine list as “a fine sparkling rosé with a smoky nose of Pinot Noir that melts into intense ripe cherry flavours.”

Tempted? The Porthminster Beach Café is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Why not book a table by clicking here!
