It’s that time again, when ben and I get to escape Polgoon and go and have loads of fun at River Cottage HQ.
This year’s fair is bigger than ever, River Cottage is introducing their brand new River Cottage Food Fair on the 24 – 26 May 2014.
There is so much going on this year from cookery demonstrations, master classes, guest speakers including a talk by Thom Hunt from 7th Rise on the Monday and of course a Polgoon bar run by myself and Ben!
We have stepped up a gear and instead of the usual stall we are running a bar and doing by the glass on our three ciders, apple, pear, berry and drum roll….. Our 2013 wines!
In celebration of English Wine Week and the River Cottage Food Fair we are launching our 2013 Red, and White wines and also doing our award winning 2012 Rosé all by the glass.
The Polgoon Rosé is a medium – dry Rosé made from Pinot Noir and Rondo grapes and won a bronze award from the UK Vineyards Association, the Polgoon Red is a single variety Rondo grape and is a smooth well balanced red, the new Polgoon white wine is made from a Madeleine Angevine grape which is a dry white with elderflower on the nose and very fruity and lemon on the pallet.
We can’t wait for the weekend, hope to see you all there to try the wines or have to have a cider in the sun. We will be running a few competitions and I am sure we can get Ben to do some talks about the wines also!
