Seafood supper at Polgoon Vineyard

On Thursday 27 August, Polgoon Vineyard welcomes King Fin for something a little different: an intimate four-course supper celebrating seafood, Cornish produce and the flavours of late summer.

Set amongst the vines at Polgoon, just outside Penzance, this is our more indulgent take on the summer pop-up, a menu designed to be savoured rather than rushed, with four carefully considered courses and available wine pairings for all 4 courses £25pp

The menu

The evening begins with a canapé of Cornish crab bonbon, sweetcorn and miso reduction, with a courgette bonbon available as the vegetarian alternative.

Then comes grilled octopus with hazelnut romesco, preserved lemon and herb oil, or crispy enoki coral with saffron aioli, okonomiyaki sauce and furikake for vegetarian guests.

For the main course, red mullet, mussels escabeche, Charlotte potatoes, fennel and olives.

Vegetarian guests can enjoy a heirloom tomato and ricotta tart with basil cream and summer salad.

Orange, honey and rosemary glazed cake, vanilla whipped cream and blackberry coulis.

Seafood, wine and the vineyard

King Fin brings a love of seafood and a thoughtful approach to sourcing, using locally caught seafood from the surrounding fishing ports,

Polgoon sits just outside Penzance, making it an easy destination for both locals and visitors staying in West Cornwall. The vineyard is already a place to come for wine, tours and food; for one evening, the focus shifts firmly to the plate.
